Hopes and dreams held captive
Imprisoned in the depths of his heart
Longing for the truth searching for the purpose
Of a life long ago surrendered

Wilst he go forward by faith
On bended knee his spirit to break
Ever wondering eagerly asking
Father, what road shall I take?

Joy, however, dost the young man feel
Christ’s death and resurrection his zeal
Many a man reckons him blessed
Giving to all his utmost best

Fear not, Oh young man, but make haste
Ne’er let His marvelous gifts to waste
If only this your life’s true calling
Know that Heaven stands, for you, applauding
